The Position

NorthStar Anesthesia is searching for a Regional Director of CRNA Services for our anesthesia departments within Corewell Health in Detroit, Michigan. This role provides you with a chance to join our senior leadership team, responsible for overseeing the rapid growth and success of our Detroit market. As a Regional Director of CRNA Services, you will have a unique set of responsibilities, including leading a team of Chiefs and CRNAs, collaborating on facility initiatives, maintaining a clinical presence, and acting as a thought leader across all NorthStar hospital systems in your market. We are looking for a candidate with a well-rounded anesthesia career background and a proven track record as an engaging and supportive clinical leader. What Success Looks Like

In this role, you will collaborate cross-functionally with key facility and corporate partners to ensure the region's optimal success. You will:

  • Mentor and develop our Chief CRNAs, building leadership strength within the team.
  • Focus on attracting top-tier CRNA talent by cultivating a culture of excellence and strong leadership at clinical sites.
  • Collaborate with key stakeholders (operations, physicians, clients, etc.) to address challenges and seize opportunities at both the site and market level.
  • Maintain a business-owner mindset, ensuring that our CRNA clinical operations run efficiently with an unwavering focus on delivering outstanding patient outcomes.
  • Play a pivotal role in our market's growth strategy by participating in business development and start-up initiatives.
  • Stay clinically proficient and actively engaged.

What Characteristics and Qualifications You Will Need

  • Lead by example and embody the principles of servant leadership, placing service at the core of your leadership style.
  • Develop a strong understanding of the business of anesthesia.
  • Thrive in an organized, proactive, high-growth, and high-accountability environment.
  • Possess Chief level or equivalent experience, although we prioritize mindset and cultural alignment in our hiring process.
  • Maintain CRNA certification in good standing with the NBCRNA and the state Board of Nursing.
  • Be based in or near Detroit, Michigan.
